Welcome to the website for the fifth joint UNC Charlotte/NC State University Photochemistry symposium. This year’s event will be hosted by SERMACS 2017 in Charlotte, NC on Friday, November 10. As in previous years, the symposium will encompass topics in all areas of photochemistry, from natural to artificial systems.
The goals of this symposium are,
- To foster new connections and collaborations among the photochemistry researchers at NCSU, UNC Charlotte, and other local institutions.
- To broadly strengthen the photochemical sciences in North Carolina focusing especially on early career investigators.
- To provide students and researchers the opportunities to present their work in a smaller collaborative environment.
Registration for the symposium is now OPEN. Please submit your registration at the SERMACS 2017 website (http://www.sermacs2017.org/). Poster and seminar (invited only) may also be submitted through the SERMACS abstract submission page.
The organizers acknowledge the Chemistry Departments at NC State University and UNC Charlotte for their continued backing. We are also grateful to SERMACS for their support and for hosting the symposium this year.
We look forward to seeing you in October!
